BSB51307 Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety

The Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety is designed to give you a sound theoretical knowledge base and an ability to use a range of specialised, technical and managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate your own work and the work of others with safety responsibilities. You will develop the skills to be able to participate in the management and coordination of OHS information and data systems; risk management; incident investigation; policies and procedures and participative arrangements.

Requiring 8 units for the qualification

Five (5) occupational health and safety units
Three (3) Elective units

► Elective units may be selected from the remaining OHS units, elective units listed below, the BSB07 Business
Services Training Package or any other currently endorsed national Training Package. If not listed below, 1 unit may be
selected from either a Certificate IV or Advanced Diploma qualification.
► Elective units must be relevant to the work outcome, local industry requirements and the qualification level.
► Units selected from other Training Packages must not duplicate units selected from or available within the BSB07
Business Services Training Package.
